A short compilation of some of my camerawork.
Wild Ways (short film)
This short film shows the hard work and skill of the people who build footpaths in the Scottish Highlands. I shot it in a number of outdoor locations, including half way up Quinag in Assynt and remote Sandwood Bay in the north west. The grim weather tested my rain-covers to the limit but it’s normal for these path guys!
Rebirth of a Pine Forest (promotional film)
Shown to audiences for the first time at the Mar Lodge Film Festival, this short promotional film showcases the work being done by The National Trust for Scotland to help regenerate Scotland’s beautiful ancient native pinewood.
John Muir Trust visitor centre film
This film forms the centre-piece of The John Muir Trust’s visitor centre in Pitlochry, Highland Perthshire. I shot the aerials from a microlight aircraft, thousands of feet above locations in Scotland such as Skye, Schiehallion and Ben Nevis. Best viewed full-screen.
Highlands – Scotland’s Wild Heart (TV)
Narrated by Ewan McGregor, this award winning 4 part BBC series showcases Scotland’s stunning Highland landscapes and wildlife.
As part of a large team of talented contributors, I was pleased to have my footage open and close each episode as well as feature within the series and the promotional trailers.
Stephanie Rew (short film)
Edinburgh-based artist, Stephanie Rew, reveals some of the ideas and processes behind her stunning paintings. I made this film with Steph to help show off her work to her increasing number of international clients. It was all shot in her studio in Edinburgh.
Sandwood (promotional film)
One of a series of seven films made for The John Muir Trust to highlight the important work they do; protecting and enhancing some of Scotland’s most beautiful wild places.
This film showcases Sandwood Bay in the far north west Highlands of Scotland.
